54. The Philadelphia Eagles were strong on defense last year, especially on the front-seven. They were average against the run but they put mad heat on opposing QBs last year. If they had better coverage last year, they probably would have been an elite defense.
All they need is two CBs but as deep as this class is at the position they can do that in Rounds 2 and 3. The first round should be all about sophomore franchise QB Carson Wentz. Free agency was already all about him as the got him two outside weapons.
<div class=. RB. Florida State. Dalvin Cook. 14. player

Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith will go quite well with the big arm Wentz has. A running game to make the defense put eight in the box and play man-to-man coverage would work well. And Dalvin Cook is the kind of RB that can do that so the Eagles take him here.

All the hype goes to Fournette because of the size and speed but Cook is actually more skilled. Either way, he can go in and bring balance to the Eagles offense immediately forcing defense to pick their poison. The Dallas Cowboys will need to watch out for the Eagles this season.
