23. player. 31. It has been real simple with the New York Giants since QB Eli Manning has been on the team. When they protect him, they make a deep playoff run or win a Super Bowl. When they don’t, anything can happen to the Giants including a losing season. <p>If they had consistently protected him over his career, he would have more years left to play. But this is about here and now and the Giants have a chance to win something this year. DE Jason Pierre-Paul has recaptured his pre-fireworks accident form.</p> <p>Along with Olivier Vernon and company, the Giants are getting after the QB again. The secondary is also solid, led by CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and S Landon Collins. On offense, Manning has weapons as WR Brandon Marshall has joined Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard.</p> <p>So to protect Manning’s blind side, they select Garett Bolles, an underrated prospect out of Utah. Bolles in another guy that isn’t rated as high as he should be because of his lack of FBS experience. But he has everything it take to do the job and would help the Giants win the NFC East. </p>. OT.
