That cost the Raiders in the first round of the playoffs but Carr will be back with a better offense in 2017. Speedster Cordarrelle Patterson looks like he’ll replace butterfingered Seth Roberts at WR3. <p>The Raiders even have more speed at TE as they acquired Jared Cook to threaten opposing defenses down the seam. They lost RB Latavius Murray in free agency but he’s easily replaceable later in the draft. This leaves the Raiders to focus on a defense that really wasn’t bad after getting off to a terrible start.</p><div class=. S. Connecticut. Obi Melifonwu. 24

They’ve already made one good move, acquiring ILB Jelani Jenkins, who had a bad 2016 with knee injury. And with him inside, they will either have Zach Brown or Perry Riley Jr. Of course, you already know about OLBs Khalil Mack and Bruce Irving putting heat on QBs.

That leaves the Raiders to pick Obi Melifonwu a 6’4″, 225-pound SS with CB speed and hips. He can do it all from one-on-one coverage, playing in the box to single-high S. Melifonwu would get rid of the Raiders problem with TEs, and help the Raiders get further in the playoffs.
