ILB. Alabama. Reuben Foster. 5. player. 35. The Tennessee Titans are a team on the rise and got themselves a chance to keep rising with this pick. They traded out of the No. 1 overall pick in 2016, still got a good player, and can get another one here in 2017. The exotic smash-mouth running game with DeMarco Murray is working out well.
The Titans have one of the best O-lines in football and QB Marcus Mariota is coming along. He can use a weapon on his offense but the Titans can do that with their pick at No. 18 overall. Defensively, they have a solid front-seven and tightened up their secondary to limit the big plays against them.

Signing S Jonathan Cyprien and CB Logan Ryan in free agency will go a long way toward improving the secondary. The Titans already stuff the run but need an ILB that can also cover RBs and TEs. And here at No. 5 overall, they have a chance to get a great player that will give the Titans what they need.

Reuben Foster is a do-it-all ILB that is a thumper, goes sideline to sideline and excels in coverage. DC Dick LeBeau would love him as he could handle his complex defense, having played in one at Alabama. The Titans would be set up to shut teams down on defense with this pick to go with the free-agency moves.
