player. 87. The Carolina Panthers are trying to get themselves back on the map after a Super Bowl hangover in 2016. Cam Newton and the offense just not being quite the same last year had a lot to do with it. The defense wasn’t either but it did show some growth throughout the course of the season.
And they have a little pass-rushing help coming in the form of DE Julius Peppers, who still got it. For the offense, QB Cam Newton may not have to run for his life anymore as the Panthers improve the O-line. They signed left OT Matt Kalil, who’s a solid blindside protector when healthy.

If Michael Oher can get himself out of concussion program, the Panthers’ O-line will be solid. That leaves the running game to be what the Panthers need to get back where they were in 2015. They just extended RB Jonathan Stewart but Leonard Fournette is the guy here at No. 8 overall.

The Panthers did it with two running backs when they had Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. So they may do that again for a year until Fournette takes over as the superstar he will be. Look for the Panthers to get back to their 2015 style of play and possibly get back in the playoffs in 2017.
. RB. LSU. Leonard Fournette. 8
