Sometimes the best way to get an idea of how a prospect will perform is by comparing them to a current NFL player thus this article looks at some 2017 NFL Draft Comparisons.

The 2017 NFL Draft is filled with a ton of high-level prospects who have a lot in common with current NFL stars. This article looks at some of these prospects and makes a 2017 NFL Draft comparison to a specific NFL player. These comparisons are not spot on as no one player is exactly alike.

However, there are a lot of similarities between how the prospect and NFL player perform. They could be linked by style of play, measurements or potential. The article doesn’t include any of the quarterback prospects like Mitchell Trubisky, Deshaun Watson, DeShone Kizer or Patrick Mahomes.

Trubisky reminds me of a young Eli Manning who is a solid athlete, features a strong throwing arm but can be a little in accurate. Watson compares to Blake Bortles in that he relies on his legs as much as his arm to succeed.

Kizer has a little Brock Osweiler in his game based on his size, athleticism and arm strength. He also has bouts of inaccuracy that make it tough to get a true feel on his potential. Mahomes is an extremely raw prospect who could have a similar career path to Colin Kaepernick.
