Mercurial RB Adrian Peterson visited with the New England Patriots Monday. But thank goodness he left the building without signing.

I was getting nervous for awhile!

But all in the world is good now as Adrian Peterson visited the New England Patriots without signing. Make no mistake, Peterson can still run the ball and if he signed with the New England Patriots, it’s game over. The Super Bowl champions would be even better.

Peterson would take handoffs from QB Tom Brady while running behind that offensive line. The Patriots just traded for speedy WR Brandin cooks this offseason too. So opposing defenses would have to pick their poison of Brady or Peterson.

The defense will already be great as they were able to keep ILB Dont’a HIghtower. And along with that, the were able to add CB Stephon Gilmore to that defense. I don’t want a season where  barring injury, it’s a foregone conclusion that the Patriots win it all.

Even Patriots fans should want the excitement of not knowing if their team is  going to win it all. That would not have been the case if Peterson would have signed with the  team. Players often go to New England and get paid pennies on the dollar for a chance to win a Super Bowl.

But not this time as Peterson left with signing a contract and hopefully, it says that way.
