This week’s 2017 NFL Mock Draft is tough on the QB position. Not one is in the top 10 and the Cleveland Browns didn’t get one in the first round.

At the beginning of this offseason, the Cleveland Browns were quite smitten with QB Mitchell Trubisky. There were even reports that came out about the Browns taking him No. 1 overall. But after the combine, it’s more than obvious that Myles Garrett will go there.

Not only is Garrett that good but Trubisky hasn’t done anything to separate himself from the other QBs. Patrick Mahomes is the hot prospect at the QB position right now with the his upside. Deshaun Watson has also improved his stock, with what he’s shown this offseason.

He’s picking up the footwork of dropping back from under center very well these days. He’s already shown what a gamer he is, beating Alabama in the National Championship Game. Meanwhile, Trubisky hasn’t been bad but hasn’t stood out either.

And with 13 starts over his college career, he’s nowhere near ready to play this year. So the Browns, who have another pick at No. 12 overall, don’t really have to take him. The team has plenty of other needs that they can improve the team with this year.

So in this 2017 NFL Mock Draft, they don’t take him or any QB.
