Cordrea Tankersley. 13. player. 32. In this very deep CB class, no one separates themselves after Lattimore and Sidney Jones, who’s injured. In my opinion, it’s all about who you like and who fits your scheme with the rest of the first-round CBs. Cordrea Tankersley is an athletic, good-sized, physical CB at 6’1″, 200 pounds.
He also has long arms, which is why he’s able to hold opposing WRs up at the line of scrimmage. To go with the physicality, the makeup speed is there too as he ran a 4.40 40 at the combine. Tankersley is a shutdown CB that allowed an NFL passer rating of 40.6 in 2016 according to Pro Football Focus,

And he gave up just one TD while bringing in four INTs to go with nine pass breakups last year. The Arizona Cardinals are another one of those teams that like to bump and run behind a blitzing front-seven. So the fit is there for Tankersley as the Cardinals need a CB in the other side of Patrick Peterson.

People are talking all of this QB-to-groom-behind-Carson-Palmer stuff but this is a win-now team. They had injuries that prevented them from doing so last year but better health will serve them well in 2017. And Tankersley can help them win right now by making opposing teams pay for picking on him.
. CB. Clemson
