player. 53. Every so often, there’s an absolute freak athlete with out-of-this-world ability that enters the draft. And in this year’s draft, that guy is former Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett. There is nothing that you want in an edge rusher that this young man doesn’t have.

Garrett is 6’5″, 270 pounds with 35-inch-long arms, he looks every bit the part of an edge rusher. He dropped his 40 down to 4.57 at his Pro Day after he ran a 4.64 at the combine. That shows his athleticism but also shows that he wants to put his very best out there.

He would have been the No. 1 prospect with his combine time but that wasn’t good enough for him. The Cleveland Browns can use a guy like that to help change the fortunes of the franchise. He’ll be joining a defense that has fellow freak athlete Emmanuel Ogbah on the other edge.

Garrett will also have DT Danny Shelton and OLB Jamie Collins on that front-seven with him. All the Browns need is a healthy Joe Haden at CB and another piece in the secondary to shut teams down. The Browns have a solid offensive line now so we’ll see what the QBs over there can do.
. DE. Texas A&M. Myles Garrett. 1
