55. Former Vanderbilt LB Zach Cunningham is a solid prospect that got pushed back a little. He did nothing wrong but his value took a hit when Haason Reddick showed that he could play LB. But with the blend of talents he has, Cunningham is still a first-round prospect.

He’s definitely a new-age LB at 6’3″, 235 pounds and with plenty of speed and agility. He doesn’t have to come off the field on third down as he can cover RBs and TEs without problems. He can play all three LB spots in a 4-3 and the two inside spots in the 3-4.

And the Pittsburgh Steelers, who just lost ILB Lawrence Timmons in free agency, need to replace him. The Steelers are obviously a win-now team but losing players in the offseason does not help the cause. They have a young defense that started coming around last and that should continue.

Cunningham is another young piece the Steelers could add, giving the Steelers a heck of a future on defense. If the defense rises fast or Ben Roethlisberger stays around long enough, the Steelers can win another Super Bowl. If not, they have a great defense in the future and need a QB to come along.
.
