48. Former Florida State RB Dalvin Cook is the most skilled RB of this draft class but he’s sliding. The scouting world has always been in love with Fournette and just fell in love with McCaffrey. Cook does have some off-the-field that could have contributed to him falling though. <p>The 5’10”, 210 pounder isn’t a bull but he can run through some tackles and he’s elusive. According to Pro Football Focus, he has the No. 1 elusive rating, forcing 99 missed tackles. And once he gets out ahead, he’s going to finish in the endzone with this breakaway speed. He ran a 4.44 at his Pro Day after running a 4.49 at the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine. Current Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin has drug suspension and the team can get out of his contract.

That’s the rumored likely outcome so bringing Cook in to replace him would set the Buccaneers up well. He would be reunited with collegiate teammate QB Jameis Winston, who almost lifted team up into the playoffs in 2016. Perhaps Cook could help him lift the Buccaneers the rest of the way in 2017.
