10. Former Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes II is one of the more polarizing prospects of this draft. He has everything you want your franchise QB to have from a physical standpoint. At 6’2″, 225 pounds, he’s mobile, accurate and has the biggest arm in this draft.
He can adlib when a play breaks down too but he may not always make the best decision. Mahomes is a gunslinger that wants to use his immense talent to make a big play every play. But in the NFL, he needs to learn to live to fight another play and avoid turnovers.

It will probably take a year on the bench for him to learn how to play NFL football. But once he learns, he has the talent to do just about anything he wants to in the NFL. The Houston Texans are here at No. 25 overall, needing nothing but a QB as they are loaded everywhere.

It looks like Tom Savage will get the nod for 2017 and Mahomes can sit behind him. This Texans team isn’t old so when Mahomes starts playing, the team can contend every year. He could surprise like Dak Prescott did last year but Mahomes is likely a pick for the future.
. QB.
