Florida. Jarrad Davis. 27. player. 124. Former Florida ILB Jarrad Davis is an intriguing prospect that’s hard to put a real gage on. The 6’1″, 240-pounder is a banger inside, taking on OGs and FBs then putting a big hit on ball carriers. The scouts have marked him down because they question his coverage in the passing game.
His problem in coverage has been more related to missing or being late to his assignment. That’s coachable and when it comes to the physical ability to cover, Davis has that in spades. He can change directions quickly and flip his hips to run with his man down the field.

Speaking of running down the field, Davis showed he can do that at his Pro Day, blazing 4.56 40. The Kansas City Chiefs can use some help stopping the run these days as that was a problem last year. And it doesn’t help that ILB Derrick Johnson tore his achilles tendon last year.

So depending on Johnson, Davis can either replace him or play alongside him in 2017. I experimented with a QB in my last mock but the Chiefs are a win-now team and should pick as such. There’s no telling how far the Chiefs can make it of they stop the run in 2017.
. ILB
