CB. Ohio State. Marshon Lattimore. 6. player. 30. The New York Jets run a blitz-heavy defensive scheme that depends on man-to-man, bump-and-run coverage. And they just lost Darrelle Revis, one of the greatest man-to-man, bump-and-run cover CBs. The Jets have a defensive-minded coach too so replacing him will be pretty important.
Many are talking about a QB but there aren’t any in this draft that are as good as Christian Hackenberg. They picked him in the second round last year to redshirt for a reason so we’ll see him soon. The best player available is a good candidate replace Revis with so that’s who I have them picking.

Marshon Lattimore has the size, strength, length athleticism and skill to be the guy to replace Revis. And he doesn’t look the type of player the Jets would have to wait any length of time for results on. He would go well on the other side of Morris Claiborne, whom they just picked up in free agency.

I liked the way Bilal Powell ran the ball last year and the Jets still have Eric Decker at WR on that offense. But they need to keep putting pieces together as they are a couple of years away from truly competing. However, if Hackenberg is as good as I believe, he could cut that time in half.
