33. Joe Mixon, Running Back, Oklahoma

A lot of people won’t like this pick and I have issues with it as well. Four years ago a video of Mixon violently Hitting a woman in a restaurant emerged. Some scouts have stated their team wouldn’t be willing to take Mixon due to the indecent. However I don’t think the Browns are on that list.

Mixon has managed to stay out of trouble for the last couple years and without that blemish on his record he would be rated as a first-round talent. Joe has speed and better than average size. Many scouts feel like if Mixon can stay out of trouble, he is hands down the best running back in this class.

With the possibility of a rookie quarterback coming in and Cody Kessler needing a little more work, pairing them with an elite runner would give the browns an opportunity to win some games in the short term.

Adding Mixon to a stable of already talented running backs, gives Cleveland and elite backfield behind a very good line.

52. Cordrea Tankersley, Corner 2nd round pick 20, Clemson

Tankersley is a steal for the Browns at this pick. With one of the deepest corner classes in recent years Tankersley who many say would be a first round talent in most classes, should be available here. Cleveland’s biggest hole last season was in their secondary. There were around six games they could have won had they had a more talent in the defensive backfield.

Tankersley won’t blow you away with his tools, but he is a really good football player. He has good lateral speed and decent size. He will have to have better more anticipation at the next level but being paired with Greg Williams and Cleveland’s revamped defense will give Tank a chance to be an everyday starter in the league.
