Corey Davis. 12. player. 53. With the No. 12 overall pick in the draft, the Cleveland Browns select former Western Michigan WR Corey Davis. I see this pick being the first big surprise of the draft as many expect Trubisky to go here. I just can’t get myself to buy the Browns taking him or any QB with this pick.
HC Hue Jackson, the QB whisperer, could work his magic on Brock Osweiler, who was a bad fit in Houston. So after building an offensive line for him, the Browns will put some outside weapons around him. They lost Terrelle Pryor in free agency and aren’t sure about 2016 first-round pick Corey Coleman.

Davis looks like he’s the best route runner and the most complete WR in the 2017 draft class. At 6’3,”, 209 he’s perfectly capable of bodying up on a CB, shielding him away and making the catch. His size, length and hops also allow him to go up and get those 50-50 balls when they come.

It’s pretty rare these days to find a WR that can make contested catches and get separation. And that’s why I have Davis as the first WR to go off the board in the 2017 NFL Draft. If Osweiler is anything like he was in Denver, the Browns are going to be a tough out in 2017. .
. WR.
