20. player. 45. With the No. 20 overall pick in the draft, the Denver Broncos select former Utah OT Garett Bolles. He’s another one of those left OT prospects in this maligned class that can help a team immediately. He’s 6’5″, 300 pounds with 34-inch-long arms, runs a 4.95 40 and a 7.29 three-cone drill.

He also has great feet so the size and athleticism are there for Bolles to do the job. While talent is not an issue for Bolles, NFL scouts are worried about his checkered past and experience. But he has a great story with troubled teenage years then finding God and turning his life around.

As far as experience goes, he has one year of FBS football under his belt but handled it well. So he’s ready for the next level, especially given his physical ability and maturity, being a husband and father. And he’s the perfect fit for the Broncos, who prefer the smaller, more athletic O-linemen.

He could go in and be entrusted with the task of protecting the blind side of QB Trevor Siemian immediately. Siemian has weapons in WRs Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas to throw to. And the Broncos still have a solid defense so if they protect Siemian, they are back in contention.
. OT. Utah. Garett Bolles
