3. Chicago Bears- Alabama DE Jonathan Allen

Offensively: 15th Yds/G, 28th PPG

Defensively: 15TH Yds/G, 24th PPG

Team Needs: QB, WR, T, DE, CB

Beside the early signs of arthritis in his shoulder, there really isn’t a knock on Jonathan Allen from a player perspective. If you throw on the tape you’ll see he lights up offensive lineman time after time.

I am a big supporter of the belief that your backs and receivers are only as good as their offensive line. Same concept here regarding defense. If you have a strong front seven the rest will follow. Although guys like Jamal Adams, Malik Hooker, and Marshon Lattimore look the part and are considered the flashy pick, Allen also looks the part and could be a perennial pro bowler at the position.

Prince Amukamara and Quentin Demps were solid pick ups for the Bears and possibly great bridge players for those positions while the Bears solidify their front seven with this pick.
