8. Carolina Panthers- Stanford DE Soloman Thomas

Offensively: 19th Yds/G, 15TH PPG

Defensively: 21st Yds/G, 26TH PPG

Team Needs: WR, OL, PR, CB

Carolina doesn’t let Soloman Thomas slip past them here. There is a lot of noise right now about the Panthers taking a running back with this pick but I don’t see it. If Thomas is on the board you scoop him up immediately.

Maybe this is their smoke screen and a way to trade back and add picks but, if they stay I can’t see them passing on Thomas.

Anyone who watched the UNC vs Stanford bowl game this year knows that Thomas can single handedly dismantle an offensive line if blocked one on one and his ability to get off double teams is no joke either. If he goes to the Panthers he’ll learn a thing or two from Julius Peppers and be a regular as a pro bowler soon.

NFL Comparison: Miami Dolphins Defensive End Cameron Wake
