player. 28. I expect RB Marshawn Lynch to stop playing and get with the Raiders program soon. But he’s not going to be with the Raiders long so they need a workhorse for the future. At 5’9″, 215 pounds Jeremy McNichols is that guy and a great pickup here in the fourth round.
McNichols has great vision and patience behind the line then accelerates quickly to get through the hole He plays bigger than his size, keeping feet moving and continues gaining yards after contact. He’s also elusive and maintains his balance when defenders try to trip him up.
<div class=. RB. Boise State. Jeremy McNichols. 4

He can run in the zone or gap scheme but fits the gap scheme the Raiders run much better. And at 4.49 in the 40, he has the speed to take it to the house once he’s out ahead. His pass protection needs a little work but he’s a big help in the passing game catching the ball.

To cap off who McNichols is as a player, he had 2,183 yards and 27 total TDs in 2016. He’s a little flawed in pass protection but he is still ready to play in the NFL right now. But a year behind Lynch to develop would make him ready to be the ultimate bell cow in 2018.
