Tight End

The talent at the tight end position in this draft is special. O.J. Howard is a legitimate top-10 prospect who is poised to have a great NFL career. He features excellent size, quickness and strong hands. Howard can also help as a blocker thanks to his experience working in Alabama’s run-heavy attack.

David Njoku is such a special athlete and playmaker that it’s hard to see him lasting long on Thursday night. His combination of length, speed and leaping ability make him a major mismatch. There just aren’t many defenders who will be able to handle Njoku in one-on-one situations.

This draft has a large number of developmental tight ends who are more upside than production. Bucky Hodges, Gerald Everett and Adam Shaheen lead that group.
