Prediction: The Chicago Bears will trade out of the No. 3 spot with a team looking to land Leonard Fournette.

There appears to be a lot of interest in LSU’s Leonard Fournette and rightfully so. He’s an elite prospect who can be the focal point of an offense. His combination of power and speed make him someone capable of being special.

It’s being rumored that teams like the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets all covet his services. The sticking point is that the Jaguars will be the first of those three teams on the clock.

So, if the Panthers or Jets want Fournette they will need to jump ahead of the Jaguars. This puts the Chicago Bears in a great position to orchestrate a deal.

Carolina’s package would have to start with the No. 8 pick, No. 40 (2nd Round) and No. 115 (4th Round). It’s a steep price but a little less painful due to the fact the Panthers have the Patriots 2nd round pick from the Kony Ealy trade.

The Jets would need to build a package including pick No. 6 overall, No. 70 (3rd Round) and No. 107 (3rd Round). New York has a ton of needs so it may not make much sense for them to trade this many picks for one player.

Either way, things are in place for the Bears to trade down in the 1st round.
