Gareon Conley the Perfect Pick for Oakland Raiders
The Accusation
I’ve been with a woman that was raped before and I’m telling you right now, it destroys them. So please don’t think that I’m glossing things over just because he’s a good player. I’m simply saying that McKenzie has good reason to believe that Conley is innocent.
We can start with the fact that Conley hasn’t even been charged with a crime yet. So while it’s innocent until proven guilty, it’s even more innocent until charged. Conley, who will cooperate with the investigation Monday, has taken a polygraph test and passed it.
He publicly defended himself via the New York Post saying:
"“There were several witnesses, including another female, who were present the entire time and have given statements that give an accurate account of what took place,” Conley said in the statement. “We also have video evidence that further discredit and disprove other versions of these events.”"
McKenzie conveyed his confidence in Conley, telling NBC Bay Area:
"“We did our due diligence throughout this whole process. We trust our research, reports, everything that we have on Mr. Conley. We feel really good about picking Gareon Conley and having him join the Raiders team and having him be a great teammate for our players.”"
Right now, it doesn’t sound like Raiders fans should be worried.
