The deep draft class of 2017 is now in the NFL. Which of the NFL teams made the most of this class.

The 2017 NFL Draft is now in the books, officially ending the 2017 draft season. After all the mock drafts and trying to figure out where the top prospects are going we finally know. So now,  it’s time to evaluate the evaluators of all NFL team and hand out draft grades.

Yes, I’m grading before I see them play in the NFL but they will change when I see them play. As a matter of fact, I change their grades throughout their first couple of seasons. Then the final grade comes at the end of three years, when you know who and what a player is.

A great first-round pick is a player with high value at need and the fits with the given team. They are expected to make immediate impacts so I will grade them based on that. The first round is the biggest part of each grade but teams draft more than one player in a draft.

So the more highly-valued players a team gets, the better that team will be graded. Reaching is rightfully frowned upon but the Bible even says there’s a time for everything under the Sun. There’s a time to reaches or gives up a lot to reach for a player you love.

If you have a roster that’s stacked with everything but a QB, you better give up the farm for him. For those teams with the best available philosophy, this is a great draft for a great offensive team. The class of 2017 is a deep class, especially for the defensive side of the ball.
