cleveland browns. 1. team. 53. The Cleveland Browns helped themselves with quite a haul in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. It all started with freak athlete DE Myles Garrett, the best player in the draft, at No. 1 overall. From there, they traded down and got S Jabrill Peppers, who could have been picked higher, at No. 35 overall.
Then at No. 29 overall, the Browns capped it off with another freak athlete in matchup nightmare TE David Njoku. Many expected the Browns to take Mitchell Trubisky after missing out on Carson Wentz last year. But they stayed disciplined, refusing to reach and still ended up with a QB.

Instead, the Browns made the right pick at No. 1 overall then took DeShone Kizer in the second. No one knows the plan but as of right now, he’s the QB in this draft most ready to play. He played in a pro style offense and was given a lot of responsibilities at the line of scrimmage.

He’ll have 2016 first-round WR Corey Coleman and Njoku to throw to with RB Isaiah Crowell running the ball. Third-round pick and DT Larry Ogunjobi looks like he’s going to start and help that defense too. That’s five starters that are going to really help the Browns turn things around.
. — A++.
