The Seattle Seahawks went into to this draft with one of the top defenses in the NFL. So they were sure to be able to draft an OT in the first round but pass on it when their pick came. They allowed OT Ryan Ramczyk pass through and elected to take DT Malik McDowell instead.

Ramczyk plays a position of need for the Seahawks and went into the draft at higher value. The Seahawks are now left to try to motivate McDowell when they really didn’t need a DT. In Round 2, the Seahawks picked C Ethan Pocic, who will probably be switch to an OG spot.

The one position the Seahawks are good at on the O-line right now is C so someone has to move. That’s still a good pick because the Seahawks need O-lineman all over. In Round 3, the Seahawks took CB Shaquill Griffin, who fits the mold of the CBs they like.

Griffin has good size and length for press coverage and blazing 4.38 40 speed to go with it. While he has a chance to play on the other side of Sherman, the rest of this draft looks like depth. It will be interesting to see what happens in the NFC West with the Cardinals back healthy.
. — C. . seattle seahawks. 26. team. 36
