. Carolina Panthers. 8. team. 87. The Carolina Panthers took a fall from grace in 2016 after going to the Super Bowl in 2015. They lost CB Josh Norman that offseason but defense wasn’t the main reason for the fall. The defense actually started to come around and play well as the 2016 season went along.
The main problem is QB Cam Newton was the leading rusher for the Panthers last season. That can’t happen again in 2017 plus he needs a slot-WR after losing Ted Ginn Jr. this offseason. So at No. 7 overall, the Panthers took Christian McCaffrey, to help carry the rushing load.

The Panthers are a great for him because they still have Jonathan Stewart for short yardage. McCaffrey can also play in the slot but in the second round, they picked Curtis Samuel. Samuel puts the speed that Ginn had back in the slot when he’s out there.

Third-round OG Taylor Morton many have a shot at starting and the rest look like depth. Newton is going to have some weapons and an improved O-line in 2017. And if the defense continues to come around, the Panthers will be back in contention in 2017.
. — A+
