  • It’s time for Jameis Winston to take the next step in his development. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added some shiny new weapons with DeSean Jackson, O.J. Howard and Chris Godwin. A shaky offensive line is the only thing that could hold Winston back from having a great season.

Tampa Bay got an absolute steal with Howard fell to them in the 1st round. He’s a well-rounded player who will help in the run game and create mismatches in the passing attack. The combination of Howard and Cameron Brate is arguably the top tight end duo in the league.

Landing Howard is part of the reason why the Buccaneers didn’t upgrade the offensive line. They could’ve passed on Howard and had a left tackle prospect like Garett Bolles and Ryan Ramczyk.

Defensively, adding Chris Baker will help take some pressure off of Gerald McCoy. He will get more freedom to penetrate the pocket and disrupt.

Tampa Bay is a real threat to win the NFC South title and make a playoff appearance. However, it won’t be easy as the NFC South is one of the stronger divisions in the league.
