27. Buffalo Bills

Key Additions: Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, Patrick DiMarco, Tre’Davious White, Zay Jones, Dion Dawkins and Nathan Peterman

Key Losses: Stephon Gilmore, Aaron Williams, Corey Graham,k Robert Woods, Mike Gillislee

This is Sean McDermott’s team after the Buffalo Bills cut ties with General Manager Doug Whaley. It’s a lot to ask a 1st-time head coach to focus on both coaching and roster building. The Bills need to get a true General Manager on board ASAP.

  • Buffalo is a hard team to figure out because of how they underperformed the past few years. They have talent on both sides of the ball, but it’s hard to tell if the new coaching staff can right the ship.

Offensively, Tyrod Taylor has shown flashes of brilliance but doesn’t have the backing of the organization. His semi lame-duck status will make for a pressure filled situation. The running game is in good hands with LeSean McCoy leading the way.

Adding Dion Dawkins along the offensive line should help solidify that group. However, they need a healthy season out of Cordy Glenn.

The overall success of the offense will depend on Taylor’s play and whether or not Sammy Watkins can remain healthy.

Things on the defensive side of the ball are really up in the air. Second-year players Shaq Lawson and Reggie Ragland could be difference makers if healthy. The secondary is in solid shape despite losing Stephon Gilmore to free agency.

There’s talent here for the Bills to challenge for a playoff spot. However, they could easily go the opposite direction and land a high draft choice.
