32. New York Jets

Key Additions: Kelvin Beachum, Morris Claiborne, Jamal Adams, Marcus Maye, ArDarius Stewart, Chad Hansen and Jordan Leggett

Key Losses: Darrelle Revis, Ryan Clady, Nick Mangold, Brandon Marshall

The current state of the New York Jets depth chart doesn’t paint a pretty picture for the future. They don’t have a long-term answer at quarterback, lack a true playmaker at wide receiver and have several holes along the offensive line.

Defensively, they have talent up front but the cornerback position will be an issue. It promises to be a long year in New York with the Jets in the early running to land the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

There’s obviously a lot of negativity surrounding this team, but there is also some reason for optimism. The addition of Jamal Adams gives the Jets a young core of defensive stars. He pairs with high-upside players like Leonard Williams, Muhammad Wilkerson and Darron Lee.

That’s four former 1st round picks who all have a chance to be really special players.

The issue is that the offensive side of the ball doesn’t have anyone to crow about. Their quarterback situation is a complete mess after last year’s 2nd round pick, Christian Hackenberg, failed to take a regular season snap.

New York’s lack of confidence in Hackenberg doesn’t bode well for his long-term future. It also doesn’t help that the rest of the offense is lacking high-end talent.
