7. Green Bay Packers

Key Additions: Martellus Bennett, Kevin King, Josh Jones, Montravius Adams, Vince Biegel, Jamaal Williams and Malachi Dupre

Key Losses: T.J. Lang, Julius Peppers, Eddie Lacy, Jared Cook

The Green Bay Packers continued their offseason trend by not adding much through free agency. They did make one splashy move by signing Martellus Bennett to fill a hole at tight end. He figures to be a major part of the offense as Aaron Rodgers loves to use his tight ends.

Bennett does come with some risk as he never hesitates to speak his mind even if it causes some issues.

The offensive line lost some depth with T.J. Lang and J.C. Tretter leaving via free agency. Lang was a major piece to the puzzle and will be tough to replace. Lane Taylor, Jahri Evans and possibly Jason Spriggs will compete for that job.

Defensively, the Packers used the draft to add some big-time talent to their secondary. Kevin King is a stud and should find a way into the starting lineup early in his career. His size is his best attribute and will help the Packers deal with bigger targets like Julio Jones.

I was surprised that they didn’t put a bigger emphasis on adding help at running back. It looks like Ty Montgomery is going to be the main option.
