Marquel Lee. 5. player. 28. Everyone was screaming out Jarrad Davis’ name in the first round but there was no need for that. The Raiders got a better player in the first round and a better ILB in the fifth round. Marquel Lee is better at shedding blocks and making tackles with 63 defensive stops.
Davis only had 25 stops in 2016 to go along with 60 tackles, six for a loss and two sacks. Lee had 105 tackles, 20 for a loss with 7.5 sacks while neither one is good in coverage. Davis is a step faster (4,56 to 4.69 40) but Lee is also a good athlete that can work on it.
<div class=. ILB. Wake Forest

Also like Davis, Lee is a jackhammer but unlike him, he has great instincts and doesn’t miss tackles. Lee is known for his work ethic so I would bet on him to improve in coverage. The Raiders are going to have Melifonwu on the TE anyway so he’ll mainly be on the FB.

He also brings a lot of heat to opposing QBs when he blitzes in the middle of that defense. But if they have to, the Raiders can always take him off the field on passing downs. The Raiders were weak against the run and Lee is a guy that can help the Raiders solve that problem.
