9. Jacoby Brissett, New England Patriots
Jacoby Brissett is a work in progress who was forced into action last year with the New England Patriots. He showed his upside in those appearances, but it was also obvious that Brissett isn’t ready to be a full-time starter.
His success was in large part due to the game plan developed by Josh McDaniels. However, the Patriots do believe in his talent which is why they selected him in the 3rd round. The promise showed by Brissett is a huge reason why many felt the Patriots would consider trading Jimmy Garoppolo.
Brissett brings a strong throwing and excellent mobility. He’s seen as someone who will take to coaching which is why he has such a promising future. The Patriots have invested several early-round draft picks on quarterbacks and it could have a huge payout in the near future.
10. Brett Hundley, Green Bay Packers
Brett Hundley was once seen as a potential 1st round pick, but failed to find enough consistency to reach that point. He’s features good size, solid arm strength and the ability to pick up yards with his legs. The issues come with his accuracy and decision making.
Hundley has had a chance to watch Aaron Rodgers operate and he showed some growth during last year’s preseason. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few teams chasing Hundley next year if he has another strong showing.
