11. Nathan Peterman, Buffalo Bills
Nathan Peterman finds himself in a solid position after falling to the 5th round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He will have a chance to compete against Cardale Jones for the Buffalo Bills backup quarterback job. Buffalo’s starting job could also be up for grabs at some point this season.
The Bills brought Tyrod Taylor back this year after a long period of considering his future. They obviously aren’t sold on his future.
Peterman is an accurate passer who knows how to work within the framework of an offense. At Pittsburgh, he was asked to run a wide-range of plays with multiple looks. He doesn’t have elite arm strength, but enough to make all the necessary throws.
12. Garrett Grayson, New Orleans Saints
Garrett Grayson as the raw skills needed to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. Unfortunately, he’s stuck behind Drew Brees and is unlikely to get a shot with the New Orleans Saints. Grayson needs to utilize training camp and the preseason to spark some outside interest.
During his college career, he showed good anticipation and accuracy. His deep accuracy also stood out as a positive.
Grayson could be a low-cost option for a team looking to bring in quarterback competition in the near future.
