13. Davis Webb, New York Giants

Davis Webb has the size, arm strength and leadership skills that NFL coaches covet. Landing with the New York Giants is a perfect fit as it will give him time to adjust to the pro game. Webb will sit behind Eli Manning and learn the ins and outs of the game.

The Giants drafted Webb with the idea that he could be Manning’s long-term replacement. They are going to get plenty of time to evaluate Webb as it doesn’t appear that Manning is ready to hang up his cleats.

14. Jake Rudock, Detroit Lions

I never say Jake Rudock as a real prospect when evaluating him during the draft process. However, he showed some real promise in limited action with the Detroit Lions. They believe so much in his talent that they block the Chicago Bears attempts to sign him.

In the middle of last season, the Bears were looking for quarterback help and attempted to land Rudock. The Lions added him to the active roster in order to block the signing. Rudock now heads into this offseason as the Lions primary backup.

He has a strong arm with the ability to deliver the ball with zip. His experience at Michigan allows him to understand the importance of a balanced offense. Rudock could be someone that gets a starting chance sooner rather than later.
