The NFC East Champion Dallas Cowboys uncharacteristically did not make a big splash in free agency. However, the other three teams did. Here is a list of free agents who will impact the division.

List In order of expected impact in the division.

player. 54. . Wide Receiver. Philadelphia Eagles. Alshon Jeffery. 1

One of the biggest needs the Philadelphia Eagles had entering the off-season was at wide receiver.  The Eagles finished 24th in the league in passing offense and they had no receiver finish with over 1,000 yard receiving.

Quarterback Carson Wentz still managed to have a solid rookie season but he did so without a true number one receiver to throw to.  Jordan Matthews is an emerging star and could become a number one receiver but Jeffery is already there.

Alshon Jeffery was arguably the top free agent on the market and a lot of teams were hot to sign him.  However, the Eagles were the best fit and had the biggest need for his services.  So it was a no-brainer for the Philadelphia Eagles to sign him.

At 6’3, 218, Alshon Jeffery has the size and speed to give Carson Wentz the consistent target that he lacked last season.  This spells bad news for the rest of the NFC East.

The Philadelphia Eagles needed to add more talent around Carson Wentz.  If they can show a better passing attack this will lead to more points on the board, which will lead to more wins.

Wentz will make a jump in his second season and with Alshon Jeffery as his primary target, the Philadelphia Eagles may have the weapons necessary to make a run at the playoffs.
