The NFL dead period is in full swing, but that just gives us more time to look to the future with an updated 2018 NFL Mock Draft.
Let’s start out by saying the order of this 2018 NFL Mock Draft shouldn’t be anyone’s focus. However, this article breaks down the process of how I put it together. It’s basically a reverse power ranking with a playoff scenario.
The focus should be on where some of these prospects land and the type of talent each team could add. This upcoming draft is loaded with talent—especially at the quarterback position. It’s not out of the question that we see as many as 5 quarterbacks selected in the 1st round.
This mock draft features four quarterback selected in the top-10 picks. Others like Louisville’s Lamar Jackson and Florida State’s Deondre Francois could also work their way into the mix.
The 2018 draft also has some high-end running back talent. Penn State’s Saquon Barkley and LSU’s Derrius Guice have a great chance of being top-10 picks. These two are explosive playmakers who can be every-down backs.
Offensive tackle needy teams should also find the 2018 draft more appealing. The likes of Oklahoma’s Orlando Brown Jr. and Texas’ Connor Williams feature tons of potential.
