28. Seattle Seahawks- Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame

The Seattle Seahawks again spent the offseason making untraditional moves to help the offensive line. Their biggest additions are Jacksonville castoff Luke Joeckel and rookie Ethan Pocic. Neither really moves the needle nor makes this a solid group.

Seattle is yet again rolling the dice that Russell Wilson can create enough magic to overcome the offensive line concerns.

Eventually, the Seahawks are going to realize that they need to invest high-end draft capital to improve this position group. It could start by targeting someone like Notre Dame’s Mike McGlinchey. He’s an experienced and talented prospect.

McGlinchey decided to return for another year of college in order to work on some of his problem areas. However, it’s possible that he could’ve been a 1st round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft even with some problems.

He would represent an upgrade at either left or right tackle for the Seahawks. His versatility would also allow Seattle to ensure they get the five best offensive linemen on the field.

Seattle could also target some pass rushing help with this pick. Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett aren’t getting any younger. The Seahawks could save a lot of money if they cut ties with Avril after the season.
