2018 NFL Mock Draft: Early June Edition
By Jon Dove
6. Buffalo Bills- Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
The salary cap makes it difficult to build a NFL roster and often forces tough decisions. It typically comes down to balancing how much a specific player at a certain position is worth. The Buffalo Bills are heading towards that type of decision with LeSean McCoy.
Buffalo could save money by moving on from McCoy after the season. However, his loss would hope a void at the running back position.
LSU’s Derrius Guice is one of the more fun players to watch in college football. He plays every down like it’s the last play of his football career. His running style has the potential to be infectious and spark an entire offense.
The running back position has seen a draft revitalization with several prospects coming off the board early in the 1st round. This upcoming draft should continue that trend with Guice and Penn State’s Saquon Barkley.
Buffalo is one of the teams that could consider a quarterback in the 1st round. They are only tied to Tyrod Taylor for one season. It’s possible they see one of the 2018 quarterback prospects as a significant upgrade.
The Bills also have another 1st round pick from this year’s trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.
