5 Reasons New England Patriots repeat as Super Bowl champs
1. The Brady / Belichick effect
Bill Belichick is the greatest NFL coach of all time. Five Super Bowl wins and counting. His coaching method is often imitated but never duplicated. What we’re seeing with this franchise during the Belichick era will likely never be seen again.
Quarterback Tom Brady is nearing 40 and yet he remains among the best quarterbacks in the league. Brady makes everyone around him better and as long as he’s the New England Patriots quarterback, they’ll be winners.
The players around Brady know that they’re never out of a game and that they must try to play up to his level. Most teams would have given up in the Super Bowl down 25 points and that’s a true statement because a comeback from that far down has never been done before.

But the Patriots wouldn’t give up. This is a team that doesn’t expect to lose at all. Sixteen straight winning seasons for the New England Patriots. It’s not a coincidence that Tom Brady has played seventeen seasons and the team hasn’t had a losing season since he became a starter.
However, I’m not the biggest fan of Tom Brady or the New England Patriots. I think he and Belichick benefited from both Spygate and Deflategate. And we can debate those scandals for the next forever, but there’s no denying this team would have still won without any of that.
And now I think they’re going to win again. It’s not hard to predict that the Patriots will win the Super Bowl again. Seeing how much takent they have, anyone could make that prediction. But I don’t particularly want to see them win again. I would rather see someone stop them.

But as I’ve examined why they’ll win, I have to acknowledge that I admire the way they go about the business of winning and will be watching closely as the New England Patriots attempt to tie the Pittsburgh Steelers with six Super Bowl wins. Odds are good they’re going to do it.
