Chicago Bears talent around Mike Glennon

Running back is set with breakout star Jordan Howard.  His presence will give the Bears passing game a nice threat to run play-action off of.  Howard is also a solid receiver out of the backfield with 29 catches in 2016.

However, it’s at wide receiver where a ton of question marks need answering.  Starting with former first round pick Kevin White, who’s been injured for most his two seasons with the Bears.

White can’t control his injuries but he needs some good luck to come his way and have a productive season.  Reports suggest that White has worked hard to get back and they need him to join with rising star Cameron Meredith.

Meredith broke out last year with 66 catches for 888 yards.  With Alshon Jeffery leaving in free agency, the Chicago Bears need a new number one receiver to emerge.  Meredith will get better with more experience and unless White stays healthy, Meredith will be the top target.

The Bears also signed some free agents to add depth at wide receiver in Victor Cruz, Markus Wheaton and Kendall Wright.  None of them are to have huge seasons but they can certainly add veteran experience and one of them could have a big year.

At tight end the Chicago Bears are hoping that 2017 second round draft pick Adam Shaheen can emerge as a force in his rookie season.  Veteran Zach Miller is a reliable target but Shaheen’s development will be the x-factor.
