Arizona Cardinals
PHILADELPHIA, PA – NOVEMBER 28: Haason Reddick /

Key rookies to watch:

Hasson Reddick, ILB

With Deone Bucannon rehabbing an ankle injury, first round pick Hasson Reddick is now starting at inside linebacker.  Bucannon isn’t expected back until the start of the regular season, so Reddick will have all of training camp and the preseason to work with the first unit defense.

Budda Baker, S

Second round pick Budda Baker could start out as a nickel corner but he could also end up at strong safety.  The Cardinals lost two safeties in free agency, so they needed to take one early in the draft.  Either way he just adds another quality player to an already good Cardinals defense.

Chad Williams, WR

Chad Williams is no Larry Fitzgerald, nobody is.  But the Cardinals needed to add a receiver not only for the present but also the future for when Fitzgerald retires. Williams gives them a receiver with good size, speed and the ability to make the acrobatic catch.

So Williams helps them add quality depth and gives them a head start if Larry Fitzgerald chooses to make this his last season.

Players who need a big camp:

Robert Nkemdiche, DE – The Arizona Cardinals drafted him last season to add explosiveness and pass rushing to their defensive line.  However, that didn’t materialize during Nkemdiche’s rookie season.  But the Cardinals need it now after Calais Campbell left in free agency.

Robert Nkemdiche has a great combination of size and athleticism.  If he lives up to his first round pedigree then Cardinals have a potential star up front.

D.J. Humphries, LT – The Cardinals have two players who can play left tackle but only one gets the job.  D.J. Humphries will be the franchise left tackle as that’s why he drafted, to protect the blindside.  He has talent of a great left tackle but not much experience.

This training camp D.J. Humphries will need to solidify himself in the position.  Otherwise Arians could turn back to Jared Veldheer who’s now playing on the right side.
