Top Players to Watch:

Offense:

David Johnson, RB – It’s hard not to watch David Johnson.  He’s become one of the most exciting players in the NFL.  Over 2,000 yards of combined rushing and receiving and 20 touchdowns in the 2016 season.

David Johnson is a threat to score every time he touches the football.  His continued development as the top weapon in the Cardinals offense is vital to the team getting back to the playoffs and winning the NFC West.

Larry Fitzgerald, WR – The Cardinals have had one of the best wide receivers in the game in Larry Fitzgerald for thirteen seasons.  Now there’s talk that Fitzgerald may retire after this season, so this could be his last training camp.

Defense:

Patrick Peterson, CB – Peterson has everything you want in a shut down cornerback.  Size, speed and the ability to cover the other teams top receiver.  Patrick Peterson is one of the keys to the Cardinals defense.  Now they need to find a starting corner to play opposite him.

Chandler Jones, OLB – Jones has registered 47.5 sacks in his five NFL seasons.  He had 11 sacks for the Cardinals last season and with his second year in the system that number could go up a lot higher.

Tyrann Mathieu, S – When Mathieu is healthy, he’s an impact player in the Cardinals defense.  But that’s the problem, when he’s healhty.  If the Cardinals are to challenge for the NFC West title they need Mathieu to make it through the season.
