6. Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
Derrius Guice is one of the more entertaining players eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft. He brings a lot of juice and aggressiveness every time he takes the field. Guice runs with passion making every touch count.
This is a quick-twitch athlete who gets up to full speed in a hurry. His short-area burst allows him to press the line and shoot through fast-closing gaps. Guice runs behind his pads and low to the ground which keeps him balanced.
It also makes it tough for defenders to get a clean shot on his frame. The combination of his low pads and hard-nosed running style helps him routinely break tackles.
Guice is a versatile player in that he can grind out the tough yards but also break off long runs. He has the second gear needed to outpace defensive angles. Guice also features the vision and quick cuts needed to make defenders miss.
He has solid hands and could be a difference maker in the passing game. This area of his game needs some development but the potential is present.
Overall, Guice is a tone-setter who moves the chains. He has the ability to be the focal point of an offense and be highly effective.
