8. Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M
Christian Kirk is an electric athlete who routinely produces explosive plays. He’s capable of hurting a defense from multiple spots on the field. Texas A&M does a great job creating plays to showcase his ability to create.
Kirk features average size and could be considered a bit undersized based on the NFL’s love for bigger targets. However, he makes up for his smaller stature with his athleticism and route running.
This is someone who runs extremely clean routes and is able to identify open spots in the defense. His route running and short-area burst help him create a ton of separation. The quarterback typically has enough space to get Kirk the ball.
Kirk is very creative in space and with the football. He does a great job working the wide receiver screen and reverses. Basically, the goal of the offensive coordinator should be to get the ball into Kirk’s hands and allow him make plays.
While he lacks great size, Kirk is still able to be a major deep threat. He uses his speed and savvy to outpace the defender. Kirk does a great job tracking the ball in the air and routinely uses his hands to high point the football.
This is an overall playmaker who should put up some impressive numbers at the next level.
