2018 NFL Mock Draft: Opening Weekend Edition
By Jon Dove
The preseason is finally over which means it’s time for real football, and of course a new 2018 NFL Mock Draft.
It was a great start to the NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs upsetting the New England Patriots. One of the reasons the Chiefs were able to pull off the victory was the impact of rookie Kareem Hunt. He finished with 246 total yards and 3 touchdowns.
This is a perfect example of the importance of the NFL Draft. Kansas City was able to get a game-changing performance from a 3rd round pick. They now appear to have a major difference maker at a position of importance.
The 2018 NFL Draft has its share of high end talent capable of making an immediate impact. At running back, there’s Penn State’s Saquon Barkley and LSU’s Derrius Guice. Both players will head into the league with much more fanfare than Hunt.
This draft also features a ton of talent at the quarterback position. We could see as many as 5 quarterbacks selected in the 1st round. This updated version of my mock draft has two quarterbacks selected in the top 3.
Overall, the 2018 NFL Draft process should be very fun to monitor.
