14. Philadelphia Eagles- Deon Cain, WR, Clemson
The Philadelphia Eagles are set at the wide receiver position for this year, but things could change in a hurry. Their top two receivers, Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith, are scheduled to hit the free agent market.
Philadelphia could re-sign both players, but that all depends on how they perform. Jeffery’s injury history makes him a risky signing while Smith is a one-trick poney. Adding an explosive player like Clemson’s Deon Cain could be in the cards.
Cain is a developing player who has the speed and quickness to stretch the field. He easily outpaces the defender and creates separation. Cain also features good overall size which helps him to win in contested situations.

However, this is an area of his game that needs some improvement. Cain also needs to improve his overall route running ability. Despite his shortcomings, this is someone with big-time potential.
Philadelphia could also look to add a long-term replacement for the aging Jason Peters. That would mean considering someone like Notre Dame’s Mike McGlinchey or Western Michigan’s Chukwuma Okorafor.
However, finding a big-play wide receiver to develop alongside Carson Wentz might make more sense at this stage in the draft.
