20. Tennessee Titans- Clelin Ferrell, Edge, Clemson
The Tennessee Titans have built a very strong roster with depth and talent at most positions. This makes it difficult to project what they might target in the 2018 NFL Draft. However, Kevin Dodd’s inability to remain healthy could push them in a certain direction.
Everyone knows that it’s very important for a defense to generate pressure on the quarterback. The Titans have solid pass rushers in Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo, but both are getting older. Tennessee needs a younger and less expensive option behind both players.
Clelin Ferrell is an emerging prospect who performed well down the stretch for the National Champion Clemson Tigers. His combination of length, raw power and quickness gives him the potential to be an elite pass rusher.
Ferrell was one of the stars of the National Championship game and hopes to use this upcoming season to solidify his draft stock.
Tennessee could also look to beef up their defensive line. A space eater like Washington’s Vita Vea would work well alongside Jurrell Casey. Former Denver Bronco, Sylvester Williams, is the team’s projected starter at this point.
Vea would serve as a major upgrade and a better overall system fit.
