25. Denver Broncos- Sam Hubbard, Edge, Ohio State
Admittedly, this is very low for someone as talented as Sam Hubbard. He’s a versatile defender who has can create pressure on the quarterback and set the edge against the run. His time at Ohio State has provided him with experience in pressure situations.
Hubbard features a quick first step that is made more effective thanks to his snap awareness. He has a great feel for when the ball will be put into play.
His commitment to using his hands and keeping his pads down also play a role in his pass rush success. Hubbard uses his hands to keep the blocker off his frame as he works his way to the quarterback. He also has the balance needed to dip his shoulder and flatten around the edge.
Hubbard is a physical player who will use a bull rush when necessary. He is also someone who plays the run with integrity. Again, his hand usage plays a major role in his ability to hold up against the run.
The Denver Broncos have seen some turnover along the defensive line and on the edge. They could use a savvy and athletic pass rusher like Hubbard.
